UM Sports Facilities – How to use if you are an UM Staff

Have you ever used UM Sports Facilities? Do you know your family members are eligible for use? Let us share related information.

1. How to use UM Sports Facilities
UM Staff can log in “UM Sports Facilities On-line Booking Service” with UMPASS account for advance booking or to check the venue availability. Booking can be made 7 days in advance and payment can be settled via online gateway or deducted in next payroll.

Sports Facilities available for advance booking:

- Badminton Hall
- Squash Court
- Table Tennis Room
- Beach Court
- Mini Artificial Turf Soccer Pitch
- Tennis Courts
- Archery Range*
  *User must hold valid Archery Level I or above coach certificates recognized and issued by the relevant national sports association (NSA), and should submit a completed “e-form” for the first time in order to proceed with online booking; for details, please visit Archery Range webpage.

2. Family members of UM Staff
Immediate family members of full-time staff or holder of “Staff Family Member Card” can fill out this online application form to apply for “UM Sports Facilities User Card” to book and use UM Sports Facilities. Upon successful application, staff family member may also apply for “Fitness Room User Card” to use the Fitness Room.

To apply for “UM Sports Facilities User Card”
Kindly fill out this online application form, upload necessary document (such as UM Staff Card, Staff Family Member Card (if any) and family member’s identification document). Once application is approved and receive confirmation, kindly settle the application fee at N8 UM Sports Complex Main Entrance Service Counter during opening hours, or family member may bring along ID photo and necessary document to apply and have the card issued right away.
Fees
Fees for “UM Sports Facilities User Card” are MOP150/1 year or MOP75/half year; if family member would like to access Fitness Room, application of “Fitness Room User Card” is required; the fee is MOP100/1 month.
User card renewal
Kindly bring along the “UM Sports Facilities User Card” or “Fitness Room User Card” to N8 UM Sports Complex Main Service Counter to settle the renewal fees; effective immediately.
Booking of Sports Facilities
Family members bring along with “UM Sports Facilities User Card” to N8 UM Sports Complex Main Service Counter for booking and payment settlement.

3. How to pick up booked venue
Present your UM Staff Card or “UM Sports Facilities User Card” for registration 5 minutes prior your booked period at N8 Main Entrance Service Counter, then proceed to the booked venue. When your booked period is over, collect your personal belongings and pick up your card at the Service Counter.

4. Sports Facilities that can be used without booking

1st Floor Common Area and Fitness Room are free and first-come-first-served with usage time limitation, kindly refer to the on-site notices for details. Furthermore, Fitness Room limits the maximum number of user, if the capacity is full when you arrive, you will have to wait for availability or you can stretch at the Stretch Area first. Staff Family Member must hold valid “Fitness Room User Card” in order to use the Fitness Room.

Swimming Pool consists of “UM Hours” and “Sports Bureau Hours”, only UM Members (including “UM Sports Facilities User Card” holder) can use Swimming Pool during UM Hours; hence, it will be comparatively less swimmer. UM Staff enjoy staff discount by presenting UM Staff Card and the Swimming Pool also offers Multiple-Entry Pass, you may approach Swimming Pool Service Counter for details. Friendly Reminder — Swimmers must wear proper swimming wear and swim caps. For current number of users, you may click or scan below QR Code.
Outdoor Basketball Courts are first-come-first-served if it is not booked in current hour.

5. N1 Mini Fitness Room
In addition to the N8 Fitness Room, N1-1022 Mini Fitness Room and Changing Room are open for use to UM Staff and N1 Guest House’s visitor. Hence, if N1 Fitness Room is full, UM Staff may proceed to N1 Mini Fitness Room for workout. No further application is needed, simply tap your UM Staff Card over the access control system for entry.

6. On-Site Free Use of Sports Facilities
Any venues that are not booked on the day can be used by UM Staff free of charge; minimum number of eligible users must be met and it operates on a first-come-first-served basis. Users must present valid Staff Cards at the Main Entrance Service Counter of the UM Complex (N8) for registration 15 minutes before each hour in order to enjoy free use privilege, and it it limited to one hour at a time or up to 2 hours in one day.

7. Free Swimming
UM Swimming Pool waived the entry fees for UMSSC Swimming Group Members on every Tuesdays and Thursdays from January to December 2023 to support UM Staff and promote healthy living. UMSSC Swimming Group Members present UM Staff Card at entry for free use; one entry per day.

8. Sports Equipment Rental
Sports Equipment rental service is available at the Main Entrance Service Counter of the UM Complex (N8), you may borrow sports equipment for free by presenting the UM Staff Card or “UM Sports Facilities User Card” for registration; compensation is required for damaged equipment.
