“Snooker and American Pool Advanced Courses” were held successfully
To promote sports culture to the UM postgraduates, the Office of Sports Affairs (OSA) organized the first “Snooker Advanced Course” and “American Pool Advanced Course” at the UM Sports Complex recently.
A total of 12 postgraduate students attended the workshop. Throughout the course, participants were instructed by certified coach and referee from Associação Geral de Bilhar de Macau in a small class size, each of them was instructed intensively and practiced different types of pool strokes individually. They also had the opportunities to advance their skills by learning the techniques for analyzing the positions of the balls and respective strokes methods, applied the tips and corrections by practicing with the coach.

The courses were a great success and OSA received lots of positive feedbacks, many participants agreed that the courses helped them to advance their skills and deepen their understandings about Snooker and American Pool. Besides, OSA also received lots of students’ requests on organizing basic Snooker and American Pool courses for beginners in the future. It is believed that there is great potential to further develop this sport in the University.
