Shuttlecock kicking experience class was held successfully

To promote traditional Chinese sports and culture to the UM postgraduates, the Office of Sports Affairs (OSA) organized the first ‘Shuttlecock Kicking Experience Class’ at the UM Sports Complex recently.

Throughout the course, participants were instructed by a certified coach from Macau Recreation & Sports Shuttlecock Association and in a small class. Each of them was able to experience the uniqueness of this sport as well as to learn some techniques on how to manoeuvre a shuttlecock. It enables the participants to experience the traditional Chinese culture in a whole new way.

The courses were a great success and OSA received lots of positive feedback, many participants agreed that the courses helped them to advance their skills and deepen their understanding of this sport. It is believed that there is great potential to further develop this sport at the University.
