In view of the development of the Novel Coronavirus Pneumonia in Macau, the Office of Sports Affairs (OSA) will reopen some of the UM Sports Facilities to designated persons in phases.
1st Phase: For UM Staff, and Students who have checked-in to live in Residential Colleges (RCs) or Post Graduate House (PGH)
(When all classes are conducted online <18 – 31 Aug 2021 at the moment>)

In accordance with relevant guidelines against the spread of coronavirus, special arrangements for the sports facilities will be implemented, including limiting the number of users, strengthening the cleaning and disinfection; closing the changing rooms and showers, etc.
Things to note for users:

- Users must book the facility via [Temporary Online Booking System] successfully at least 1 day in advance (System opens from 10:00 a.m. of 18 Aug 2021 onwards). User can book the sports facilities 7 days in advance.
- All changing rooms, shower rooms and lockers are being closed
- Users must register by presenting UM campus card (students will need to also present their UM room card) before accessing the facility

- In this phase, UM Alumni, Staff’s family members, UM Sports Facilities Card Holders, Students who are not checked-in to live in the RCs or PGH, and all accompanying guests are not eligible to use the facilities.
- All previously approved group bookings are suspended and will be rearranged when the sports facilities are fully reopened in the future.
- New group booking are temporarily not accepted.
- All individual bookings made during 4 – 10 Aug before the closure of UM Sports Facilities will be rearranged when the sports facilities are fully reopened in the future.
- The valid date of all cards / passes (e.g. UM Sports Facilities User Card, Swimming Pool Passes) will continue to be frozen and will be extended when the sports facilities are fully reopened in the future.
- If the government implements another Nucleic Acid Test of Covid-19 for all Macau citizens, all UM Sports Facilities will be closed immediately under further notice.
- “Sports Bureau Hours” are temporary suspended.
Users are advised to observe personal and environmental hygiene. Your kind understanding and cooperation with relevant arrangements for epidemic prevention are much appreciated.
The Office of Sports Affairs takes health as the primary consideration, and will consider to reopen other sports facilities according to the novel coronavirus pneumonia situation.
