How to use UM Sports Facilities – UM Students

Welcome to the University of Macau (UM)! UM has a variety of indoor and outdoor sports facilities to promote and enrich healthy life. What sports facility does UM have? How to use it? Let’s check out the following information.

The indoor sports facilities are all located within the UM Sports Complex (N8), while the outdoor sports facilities are spread across different areas of the campus. There are many types of sports facilities available, the followings are open for individual booking/use:

1. How to use UM Sports Facilities
UM Student can log in “UM Sports Facilities On-line Booking Service” or UM APP with UMPASS account for advance booking or to check the venue availability. Booking can be made 7 days in advance and payment can be settled via online gateway.

Sports Facilities that can be booked for personal training and its maximum number of user:

Archery Range **User must hold valid Archery Level I or above coach certificates recognized and issued by the relevant national sports association (NSA), and should submit a completed “e-form” for the first time in order to proceed with online booking; for details, please visit Archery Range webpage.	7 Pax.

**Please abide by the maximum number of users in each facility, otherwise the security guard on duty has the right to invite you to leave the venue**

2. How to pick up booked venue?
For indoor sports facilities, present your UM Student Card for registration 5 minutes prior your booked period at N8 Main Entrance Service Counter, then proceed to the booked venue. For outdoor sports facilities, you may just go directly to the facility, security guard on duty will come verify booking details during booked period; hence, remember to bring along with you the student card used for booking.

When your booked period is over, collect your personal belongings and pick up your UM Student Card at the Service Counter if you used indoor sports facilities.

***Friendly Reminder: Food and beverages are not allowed to be brought into the venues except for bottled water, and please make sure to pick up all trash and be a responsible venue user.

3. Sports Facilities that can be used without booking?

1st Floor Common Area and Fitness Room are free and first-come-first-served with usage time limitation, kindly refer to the on-site notices for details. Furthermore, Fitness Room limits the maximum number of user, if the capacity is full when you arrive, you will have to wait for availability or you can stretch at the Stretch Area first. Swimming Pool consists of “UM Hours” and “Sports Bureau Hours”, only UM Members (UM Student, Staff and “UM Sports Facilities User Card” holder) can use Swimming Pool during “UM Hours”; hence, it will be comparatively less swimmer. UM Students enjoy student discount by presenting UM Student Card. Friendly Reminder — Swimmers must wear proper swimming wear and swim caps. For current number of users, you may click or scan below QR Code.
Outdoor Basketball Courts and Tennis Practice Court are first-come-first-served if it is not booked in current hour.

4. On-Site Free Use of Sports Facilities?
Any venues that are not booked on the day can be used by UM Student free of charge; minimum number of users must be met and it operates on a first-come-first-served basis. All users must present valid Student Card at the Main Entrance Service Counter of the UM Complex (N8) for registration 15 minutes before each hour in order to enjoy free use privilege, and it is limited to one hour at a time or up to 2 hours in one day.

Furthermore, Swimming Pool offers free use to UM Student. During January to December 2024, free use for UM Student on every Monday, Wednesday and Friday 15:00-18:00.

5. Sports Equipment Rental
Sports Equipment rental service is available at the Main Entrance Service Counter of the UM Complex (N8), you may borrow sports equipment for free by presenting the UM Student Card for registration; compensation is required for damaged equipment.
