NOTICE
Special opening hours and arrangement for UM Swimming Pool
during the weekends and public holidays between 15 April and 1 May 2022
Due to the temporary closure of Olympic Sports Centre – Aquatic Centre in Taipa in April, there has been a rapid increase in the number of users of the UM swimming pool, in order to comply with the related health guidelines and reduce the risk of the spread of COVID-19 in public sports facilities, the following arrangements will be enforced:
(1) UM Swimming Pool will be opened earlier in the upcoming public holidays and weekends to divert the flow of users:
- Date:15, 16, 17, 23, 24, 30 April and 1 May (total 7 days)
- Early Opening Hours:From 10:30 – 13:30,15:00 – 22:00, adjusted to 09:00 – 13:30,15:00 – 22:00
(2) Due to the large number of users waiting during peak hours (in the morning and the afternoon before the pool opens), the following queuing measures will be implemented to meet the needs of epidemic prevention:

- Users should maintain 1-meter social distance and stay in designated location one by one while queuing;
- No personal items may be used to occupy slots or to substitute for queuing;
- Distribution of quota tags will begin 15 minutes before the pool opens;
- Policy “One person, one quota tag” will be implemented, users must come to the swimming pool in person to queue and get his/ her own quota tag, and one person can neither collect the tag on behalf of other users nor for multiple users;
- Normally, max. number of users in the pool is 100; however, due to circumstance, the max. number could be adjusted on site;
- Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by their parent and/ or adult guardian in all areas of the pool and their entry tickets must be bought together.
