Dear students and colleagues,

In view of the development of the Novel Coronavirus Pneumonia, the Office of Sports Affairs (OSA) will reopen some of the UM Outdoor Sports Facilities to UM Students and Staff from 19 Oct 2021 onwards.

Phase 1: For all UM Students and Staff ONLY

(UM alumni, staff’s family members, other UM Sports Facilities User Card Holders and all guests are NOT eligible at the phase)

Period 19 Oct 2021 onwards
UM Sports Facilities to reopen:

UM Indoor Sports Facilities (mainly at UM Sports Complex ) will remain closed until further notice.

Opening Hours of Sports Facilities:
  • Outdoor Sports Facilities: 08:00 – 22:00, 7 days a week
Eligible Users: UM students and staff ONLY – UM campus card must be presented

(UM alumni, staff’s family members and other UM Sports Facilities User Card Holders are NOT eligible in this phase)
Booking System
  • Individual Booking:

    • The “UM Sports Facilities Online Booking Service” will resume operation at 12:00p.m. on 19 Oct 2021
    • Walk-in booking at the main entrance service counter of UM Sports Complex (N8) will be resumed on 19 Oct 2021
  • Group Booking:

    • Group bookings by UM units which were approved before will be resumed on 19 Oct 2021 for the reopened facilities
    • For UM staff who would like to make an advance group booking for sports activities for their respective units, please use the eForm for application.
    • For student organizations, please consult your student activity facilitators (SAFs) for bookings

Things to note for users:

    1. Users must register by presenting UM campus card before accessing the facility
    2. Users must:
      • present the “Macau Health Code “ from the Health Bureau Website (only green code can access facilities)
      • wear a mask
      • measure body temperature

Other notes:

    1. In this phase, UM alumni, staff’s family members, other UM Sports Facilities User Card Holders and all guests are NOT eligible to use the facilities
    2. The valid date of the UM Sports Facilities User Card, Fitness Room Card and Swimming Pool Pass will continue to be frozen and will be extended when the sports facilities are fully reopened in the future.
    3. All individual bookings made before the closure of UM Sports Facilities (25 Sept 2021) will be contacted and rescheduled when the sports facilities are fully reopened in the future.
    4. Group booking by non-UM units is temporarily not accepted.
    5. If the government implements another Nucleic Acid Test of Covid-19 for all Macau citizens, all UM Sports Facilities will be closed immediately under further notice.
    6. “Sports Bureau Hours” are temporary suspended.

Users are advised to observe personal and environmental hygiene. Your kind understanding and cooperation with relevant arrangements for epidemic prevention are much appreciated.

The Office of Sports Affairs takes health as the primary consideration, and will consider to further reopen other sports facilities according to the novel coronavirus pneumonia development. It is planned to further open Indoor Sports Facilities and to further open to UM alumni, staff’s family members and other eligible users at a later stage.
