Sports Interest Courses for Summer 2025/2026 – Tai Chi and Baduanjin (Application deadline: 22 APR 2026)

Tai Chi

“Tai Chi” is a traditional Chinese martial art that started long ago. It has many styles and includes ideas from different beliefs like Daoism and Confucianism. Tai Chi helps us with balance, movement, strength, and calmness. In Macau, popular styles include Chen, Yang, Wu, Sun, and Wu. During the class, instructors from the Wushu General Association of Macau guide the participants to explore the basics of the 8-form and 16-form Tai Chi styles.

Baiduanjin

“Baduanjin qigong” is a standing exercise that started long ago in China. It is enjoyable and easy for many people to practice. The exercises are gentle and smooth, helping us relax and focus. Practising regularly can improve our breathing, keep us healthy, and make us happier.

Application Procedure

  1. Online application
  2. E-random draw
  3. Draw result and course fee payment email
  4. Course fee payment settled before the deadline
  5. Course enrollment confirmation email

1. Online Application

Please click HERE to apply for an online application on or before 22 APR 2026 (WED).

2. E-Random Draw

E-random Draw will take place on 23 APR 2026 (THU).

3. 申請結果Application Result

Application results will be announced via email on 24 APR 2026 (FRI).

For successful applicants, please settle the fee/deposit at the Main Entrance Service Counter, G/F, UM Sports Complex (N8), during opening hours and before the set deadline, as announced in the email. Otherwise, the quota will be allocated to other applicants on the waiting list.

Waiting list
Unsuccessful applicants will be queued up on the waiting list by draw. If a quota is being released, an email notification of payment will be sent based on the draw result, and payment should be settled before the specified deadline.

        Points to Note:

    • Successful enrollment will be confirmed upon payment.
    • For better use of resources, kindly attend all registered classes on schedule once enrolment is confirmed.
    • Classes are available only to enrolled students, who must sign in in person at each class. Transferring enrollment or switching classes is not allowed.
    • The confirmation of a class is dependent on the number of participants. If a class is cancelled, the fee will be refunded accordingly.
    • The registration fee is not refundable once paid
